Miley Cyrus, pravým menom Destiny Hope Cyrus, sa narodila 23. 11. 1992 (znamenie: Strelec, Opica) v Nashville v štáte Tennessee (USA) Billymu Rayovi a Tish Finley Cyrusovcom. Vyrastala na rodinnej farme a vďaka tomu, že miluje smiech jej rodičia vždy hovorili Smiley, z čoho neskôr vzniklo Miley. K herectvu sa dostala vďaka otcovi. V Dvanástich šla na casting seriálu Hannah Montana, kde sa prihlásila o hlavnú rolu aj o rolu najlepšej Hanninej kamarátky Lilly. K jej vzorom patrí Kelly Clarkson, Hilary Duff a Ashley Simpson. Vo voľnom čase chodí najradšej nakupovať, rada spieva, tancuje, píše texty, hrá na gitaru, veľmi obľubuje jedlo z čínskych reštaurácií a okrem toho je aj vášnivou roztlieskavačkou. Má dvoch psov, Loca a Taga, a štyroch súrodencov (Christopher Cody, Braison Chance, Brandi, Trace a Noah Lindsey). Kvôli roli Hannah Montany sa celá rodina Cyrusov presťahovala do Los Angeles. So svojimi kolegami zo seriálu Emily Osment a Mitchellom Mussom sa Miley kamaráti aj v skúkromí. Ale má ešte ďalších hviezdnych priatľov: skvele si rozumie s partou z High School Musical, hlavne s dievčatami - Vanessou Hudgens a Ashley Tisdale. Miley Cyrus vydala už 2 hudobné CD s pesničkami, ktoré si píše sama alebo, ktoré jej píše otec. Pesničky sa tiež použili ako soundtrack k Hannah Montane.
